Rev. Charles E West

Reverend Charles Edward West, born June 21, 1950 in Allenville, Kentucky to parents Robert and Florence Hatcher West. Reverend West transitioned from this earthly life of labor to eternal reward on February 2, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, seven brothers, and a son Charles Martin.

 Charles accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church Spring creek. Reverend West proudly served as Pastor of St. John Baptist Church Hampton Station for 9 years. He attended Todd County public schools. 

 He met the love of his life Alice. Together they shared 55 years and 8 wonderful children.

 Charles worked various jobs. Poindexter farms, Montgomery County Highway Dept. and Batson Realty Group. He enjoyed cooking on the grill and fishing, bowling, dancing, and was an awesome singer. Out of all mentioned, nothing gave him more pleasure than spending time with his family. 

 He leaves behind to cherish his memory: Wife- Alice West; Daughters: Alice (Charles) Smith, Willie (James) Dowlen; Sons: Paul (Cherniece) West, David West, Charles (Tiffany) West Jr, Pastor Derek (Temeka) West, Peola (Sara) West; 17 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren; Sisters: Jeanette Byers, Reatta (Billy) Marable, Brenda West, Maxine West, a host of loving nieces and nephews, friends, and other relatives.
