Christine Anne Piesyk

Beloved Matriarch of an ever growing family, passed away September 13, 2021.She enjoyed a full and rich life traveling and learning as much as she could while raising a brilliant and strong daughter. She was a journalist for over 50 years and a huge women's rights activist. Christine was a graceful woman who took care and applied passion to everything she did from advising others to teaching her grandchildren how to make traditional family recipes. She shared her favorite hobbies of reading and bird watching with her great-grandchildren. Christine is preceded in death by Step-father Louis Biehler and Mother Madeline Biehler of East Hampton, Massachusetts; and her Brother Michael Piesyk of Chicopee, Massachusetts. She is survived by her Daughter Kelly LaPlante; Grandchildren Brandi LaPlante Whitty, Rochelle Fuston, Robert "Bobby" LaPlante II; and 8 Great-Grandchildren.

Each person in Christine's life was moved and touched by her presence because of the sheer power and confidence she carried. She will be very grievously missed by all Family of the Heart.
A small gathering of family and friends was held at Rotary Park, Thursday September 16 to remember Christine. She will be laid to rest at a later date at the family cemetery plot in South Hadley, Massachusetts.
