Edgar Shaw, Jr.

On August 30, 2026, Edgar Sherman Shaw Jr. completed his earthly journey and entered into eternal rest. Edgar was born on July 14, 1960, in Clarksville, Tennessee, to Virdie Mae Shaw and the late Edgar Sherman Shaw Sr.

 He was educated in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and remained connected to the Clarksville community throughout much of his life.

 Edgar was united with New Providence Church of Christ. Throughout his working years, he made his living as an independent commercial driver. He also enjoyed construction, music, cooking, shopping, and traveling. 

Edgar was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Sherman Shaw Sr., and his son, Chad Angelo Hodge.

 He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved mother, Virdie Mae Shaw of Clarksville, Tennessee; his daughter, B'nai Lorea'l (Leonard) Dennis Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his sons, Remington Sherman (Brandy) Shaw and Gabriel Laron Hodge, both of Clarksville, Tennessee; his siblings, Etta Mae Johnson of Clarksville, Tennessee, Deborah Lorean (James) Johnson Sr. of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Michael Dewayne (Linda) Shaw of Elkton, Kentucky. He is also lovingly remembered by his 15 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, aunts Emma Hamilton and Georgia Watson, uncle Charles (Rosie) Carney, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. As we celebrate the life of Edgar Sherman Shaw Jr., we take comfort in the promise that while he is absent from our sight, he is forever held in God's care
