Faye Cunningham-Elzie

January 9, 1960 — October 1, 2023

Faye Cunningham Elzie, was born January 9, 1960, in Clarksville, TN. She was the daughter of
Lester Cunningham (deceased) and Mary Ann Cunningham (deceased). She departed this earthly
life on Sunday, October 1, 2023, with her loving husband, Washington "Bernard" by her side.

Faye attended the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System, graduating from Clarksville
High School, Class of 1979. Faye was employed by the Trane Co. for many years. She was later

employed by CMCSS and was blessed to retire.

She joined Christ Temple Community House of Prayer at an early age, where Elder Woodard W.
Bowley, Sr., was her Pastor. As a young girl, she faithfully attended Sunday School and was
groomed into the remarkable woman we come to know and love.

She later joined the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a dedicated member
until her health prohibited her from attending physically; however, she continued to attend
services virtually. She loved her New Hope Family.

Faye loved spending time with her husband, sisters, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed
spending quality time with her great-niece, Keisha, taking walks and reminiscing on many
occasions. There was never a dull moment when she was in the presence of her nieces and
nephews, from attending their various events, never forgetting their birthdays, and even
laughingly singing with them. The Tennessee Titans was her favorite professional football team
and no matter what, she was always rooting for them. Lynn was always able to cheer her up
during the difficult times, while leaning on her for strength not knowing she was leaning on her
for the same. She relied on her sisters for prayers, comfort and support. Her presence will truly
be missed by all who loved and knew her.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is
laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that
day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
