Katherine Ellison Terry

Katherine was born September 26, 1931, in Tiptonville, Tn to the late Lum Ellison and Betty Mae Johnson Ellison. Katherine transitioned from this life on August 26, 2025.

She accepted Christ at an early age and remained faithful her entire life and united with the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Paris, Tennessee.

Katherine attended public school and graduated from Central High School in Paris, TN.

Kathline married James Henry in 1947 and unto this union, a daughter, Joyce Henry Johnson was born.

She married Henry Terry December 24, 1950. To this union 7 children were born and they shared 64 years together.

Katherine was a domestic engineer for private families for many years. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and knitting.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Lum and Betty Ellison, husband: Henry Terry, son: Donald Terry, mother: Betty Giles Crutchfield, sister: Laura Giles Malone Johnson, brothers: Willie Ellison, George Giles Jr., step-father: George Giles Sr.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Joyce Henry Johnson, Henry Terry (Mamye), Pamela Sue Dortch (Jimmie), Rommie Yvonne Terry McCatty, Timoth Terry, Carlton Terry. 17 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, daughter in law: Felecca Terry, and other relatives and friends. great great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
