Mr. Larry “Catfish” Jordan was born December 10,1955 to Margarette and James “Buddy” Jordan in Clarksville, Tennessee. He departed this life on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Tennova Medical Center in Clarksville, Tennessee
Larry accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. He was educated in the Clarksville Montgomery County Schools and was a graduate of the Historic Burt High School.
Larry was married to the former Clark. He was know by his friends and family as “Catfish”.
He was employed by Vulcan Corporation and Clarksville Foundry. Larry also worked as a landscaper. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, and was a very talented musician playing multiple instruments. He was known mostly for playing the bass guitar with different local gospel quartets most recently playing with the Sons of Grace musical group.
In addition to his parents. Larry was preceded in death his son- Larry Jordan Jr., brothers, Robert Jordan, James Jordan, sister, Marian Mockabee and nephew, Aaron Walker.
Larry leaves behind to cherish his memory: his wife, Kimberly Clark-Jordan; his children: Rorica “Rico” (Terri) Porter, Katina Porter, Charles (Rica) Clark; his siblings: Alcidean Outlaw, Evonnia (Cleveland) Jordan, Patricia Jordan, Regina Jordan-Sodig, and a host of loving grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.
