Lavinia Inez Meriwether

Ms. Lavinia Inez Meriwether was born March 28, 1970 in Clarksville, Tennessee to Mrs. Sandra Kaye Meriwether and the late Mr. Charlie Meriwether. She departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest on, February 2, 2024 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. 

Lavinia received her education in the Clarksville Montgomery County school system and was a graduate of Clarksville High School. 

Lavinia accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and united with Concord Missionary Baptist Church.

 “Angel” as she was affectionately called, was the fifth of eight children. Music was a strong talent in this family. Angel loved to sing and she enjoyed all types of music. She enjoyed singing and praising with her family in the spirit of song. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time outside in the sun.  She could often be seen walking with her brothers enjoying the sunshine.  Lavinia never met a stranger and love quality time with family and friends.

 On October 4, 1989, she was blessed with her only child, Demetrius Howard Meriwether, whom she cherished and love unconditionally.

 Those left to celebrate her life and cherish her sweet memories are her loving son- Demetrius Meriwether, mother, Sandra Kaye Meriwether, granddaughter, Kaylina Meriwether, sisters, Michelle Koester, Daphne Shaw, Tabitha (Phillip)Suber. Brothers, Rev. Timothy Hodge, Julian Meriwether, Charleston Meriwether, and Brian Meriwether, and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
