Maurice Cortez Brooks

Maurice Cortez Brooks was born November 7, 1961, to Mary Young Dunbar and was later adopted by Mrs. Willa Mae and Hoye Brooks in Clarksville, Tennessee. On the 29th day of August 2026, he left this troubled world and entered eternal rest.

He attended Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools and graduated from Clarksville High School in the Class of 1980.

“Bo,” as he was affectionately called by friends and family, served in the U.S. Army. He was a groundskeeper at Ft. Campbell for many years and also worked at U.S. Tobacco. He loved spending time with his children, listening to music, and watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Christopher Brooks.

Survived by his children, LaRhonda Patterson, Martavious Brooks, and Maurecus Brooks, and his brother, Andre Brooks, in Nashville, TN. A host of cousins and friends.
