Michael Lamont Burney

Michael Lamont Burney was born September 16, 1971, to Elizabeth Ann Burney and Jerry Russell Bell in Clarksville, Tennessee. Michael departed this earthly life on December 25, 2026 in Las Vegas, NV

Michael was educated in the Clarksville Montgomery County School System and attended Clarksville High School and after graduation, Michael enlisted in the United States Navy, where he was stationed a Naval base in Jacksonville, Florida from January 25, 1990 to July 24, 1997. He then re-enlisted and retired with honorable discharge May 4, 2000.

Michael loved spending time with his family and friends whenever he got the chance.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts: Helen Bagwell, Lillie Bell, and Elizabeth Bell. Uncles: Robert Burney Jr., Henry Bell, and Charles Burney.

He leaves to cherish his memory: Loving daughter and Bonus son- Michelle Burney and TaShawn Moore Baker Greensboro, NC. Brother- Jason Burney, Clarksville, TN. Nieces and Nephews- Trinidi Burney and Daa’Tshio Burney. Aunts- Nicole (Tim) Sanders, Dorothy Bell, and Janie Cunningham. Uncles- Ronnie (Lisa) Burney, Eugene Burney, Larry Burney, Otis Gray, Bobby (Beverly) Bell, and John (Pam) Burney. And a host of cousins and friends.
