Rico Cortez Bevins

Rico Cortez Bevins, known affectionately as "Slacc," passed away on January 16, 2024, at 45. He was born on May 28, 1978, at Memorial Hospital in Clarksville, TN, to Perita Titington-Hardy. Rico is preceded in death by his son Adrian Acree, sister Tamika Bevins, and maternal grandparents Jack and Verlene Titington his aunts Katie (Earl) Reed, Percita Titington his uncle’s Jack Jr and Clearance Titington.

Rico received his education in the Clarksville Montgomery County School system. Remembered for his infectious smile and welcoming energy, Rico was known and loved by those around him.

He leaves behind cherished memories for his mother, Perita Titington-Hardy, brother DeCarlos Titington, children LaShonda Ellis, Ermeka Acree, and Alannah Mayo, as well as his grandchildren A'Myra Jones, De'kari Acree, Amarion Akins, Ahmir Acree-McGregor, and Mi'yori Acree-McGregor. Rico is also survived by his aunts Deborah (Corbin) Foster, Francis Kendrick, and Karen (Elston) Dixon; his uncle’s Tony (Cynthia) Titington, Ricky Titington, and Anthony Titington; a special friend Jasmine LaRue, and a host of cousins and friends.

Rejoice instead of sorrow! We're all living on borrowed time. Don't grieve for me; I am free, following the path God laid out for me!
