Robert Lee Hardy

Mr. Robert Lee Hardy was born May 5, 1939, in Marshall County, Tennessee to Hubert and Lillie Pearl Hardy on May 5, 1939. Robert passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Trevecca Health and Rehab in Nashville, Tennessee. 

“Hardy, Dink” as he was lovingly called by his friends and family attended school in Davidson County, Tennessee. Robert was employed by Yellow Freight Company as a truck driver and for State Industries for many years. He was also an officer with Montgomery County.

Robert met and married the love of his life, Alberta Horne. They celebrated many years of life and love in marital bliss.

Robert was a proud member of Fifth Ward Baptist Church. He enjoyed his church family. He enjoyed the services at Fifth Ward because he loved good singing and preaching. He would look forward to the special days at church because he really enjoyed the food prepared by the kitchen staff. He loved his pastor as well and often spoke of him after his health began to fail and he was not able to attend church.

Robert was well known out and around Clarksville. Robert was a family man. He and his wife, Alberta loved parenthood. They raised their only child, Steven and loved him very dearly,

Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife, Alberta, son, Steven, his parents, Hubert and Lillie Pearl Hardy; brothers Charles, James “JD”, John, George; sisters, Evelyn, Mary, and Carolyn.

Those left to celebrate his legacy and forever cherish his memories are his sisters, Virginia Fisher, Marion Ford and Linda Braddy; brothers, David Hardy and Howard (Connie) Coats. A host of Other relatives, in-laws and dear friends.
